If i put 18" rims on my 1998 chevy malibu do i have to change the whole brake system?

if i decide to put 18s on a chevy malibu (stock 15%26quot; rims) am i going to have to change brake rotors and everything else? they'll typically only be on at most 4 months (don't post its a dumb idea) out of the year so if i do how much is it going to cost me?If i put 18%26quot; rims on my 1998 chevy malibu do i have to change the whole brake system?
It's not really a problem, other than that your brakes will look smaller in proportion to the wheels. 18%26quot; wheels add a little weight, but not enough to demand a brake upgrade. If i put 18%26quot; rims on my 1998 chevy malibu do i have to change the whole brake system?
nope, you wont have to... though its a weird questionIf i put 18%26quot; rims on my 1998 chevy malibu do i have to change the whole brake system?

Your braking distance will dramatically increase due to increased rotational inertia. Another poster sited a BMW - but a BMW has much better brakes than a '98 Malibu.
