the hub nut does not connect the rotor to the hub and if you losen that nut and do not tighten it properly you will need two front wheel bearings as well the best way to get off the rotor is to smack it will a good sized hammer from the back side be carfull not to send it across the garage if you hit it a couple of times it should then slide off also it would be good to list the year and if it is 4wd or not but either way it is the same in this caseHow to change toyota matrix rotors?
there is a great product called WD-40 it is a penatrating oil that is in fact if you have given the corect information soak it with WD-40 overnight if need be you might consult a CHILTON Manual these are invalibale they can be purchased at a parts store for around 20$ but if you own the car and plan to do the work youself it may be your most valuble tool.these tell every part on the make of car you get it for you may ask a mecanic to print you just the page you need mecanics have a web site that is pass word procted that they pay to belong to so they may charge you a fee for doing this but it can save you if you dont wish to buy the whole manual hope this helps
